Shane Persaud is a mission-driven designer, community leader, and nonprofit executive with more than 25 years of experience spanning architecture, construction, and community engagement. Throughout his career, he has remained committed to combining technical excellence with servant leadership, delivering innovative design solutions while creating meaningful and lasting community impact.

Shane's passion for architecture and design began in high school through mechanical drafting studies, where he discovered both his creative and technical talents. Winning his first design award during his freshman year in college further solidified his commitment to the profession. He earned his degree from Pratt Institute in 1995 and began his architectural career with respected firms including Dahn & Krieger Architects & Planners, Jarmel Kizel Architects & Engineers, and Chapin Architects & Planners.

In 2005, Shane relocated to the Atlanta metropolitan area, where he expanded his professional experience through key roles with Peacock Partnership, ASD, Inc., and as Director of Architecture for JH Ideas Interiors. His diverse portfolio includes projects in K–12 education, healthcare and assisted living, residential development, retail and commercial facilities, houses of worship, quick-service restaurants, and long-range facilities planning.

With extensive experience in project planning and execution, Shane brings expertise in zoning analysis, building code compliance, entitlement processes, public bidding, cost estimating, and sustainable design integration. He is highly proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Microsoft Project, 3D modeling platforms, project management systems, and digital design technologies. In 2019, he earned his Six Sigma Black Belt certification from Clayton State University, further strengthening his capabilities in process improvement, operational efficiency, and strategic planning.

Beyond his architectural and construction experience, Shane has dedicated a significant portion of his career to nonprofit leadership and community development. He has served in executive and leadership roles with organizations focused on youth development, housing stability, veteran support, educational advancement, and community resource coordination. His nonprofit work has emphasized strategic leadership, stakeholder engagement, fundraising, program development, and board governance, reflecting his belief that thoughtful leadership and strong partnerships can transform communities.
